Rev. Ellen Schoepf

Rev. Ellen Schoepf brings many gifts to the ministry of Edgewood Lutheran Church.  Pastor Schoepf originally majored in Organ Performance and minored in Piano Performance as an undergrad.  She served as Director of Music in various churches during her first career path.  Then, in 2007, she went back to school to work on a Master of Divinity degree.  She attended Trinity Lutheran Seminary in Columbus, Ohio and graduated in the spring of 2011.  Pastor Schoepf was first called to serve as Associate Pastor to the congregation of St. Ansgar Lutheran Church in Portland, Maine.  Having grown up in Michigan, Pastor Schoepf and her husband moved back to Michigan in 2015, when she took a call to serve at Faith Lutheran Church in Okemos, MI.  In April of 2023, Pastor Schoepf retired from full-time ministry and she and her husband Ken moved back to Muskegon, her hometown.  After returning to Muskegon, she took a part-time call to serve the people of Edgewood Lutheran Church.

Rev. Schoepf has a passion for proclaiming the good news that the reign of God is breaking into our lives.  She also has a passion for seeking justice as we collectively address the needs of this world.
